Silent Gliss electric curtain track bent to suit curved glazing in residential property

Kasa Interiors were commissioned to design and install the internal decoration of this exclusive private residence in Berkshire. The client requested electric Silent Gliss curtain tracks and blinds to be operated via the Control4 home automation system and Kasa Interiors called on Waverley to help out. This included measuring and manufacturing a large curved curtain track to suit the feature window in the master bedroom.

As the human eye always focuses on light, windows (and therefore window furnishings) are always a focal point in any room. Because of this, high-end residential clients expect their designers to really deliver on this important aspect. With increasing emphasis on the use of natural light, glazing has become more prominent. Add to this the trend towards home automation and the sophistication of window furnishings continues to increase.

Interior designers need a specialist window furnishing partner that can provide them with advice as well as the full survey, manufacture and on-site installation service. Especially when electric curtain tracks and blinds are required, liaising with the electrician and/or AV company is critical to ensure the smooth execution of the project.
In this instance, Kasa Interior’s client required electric curtain tracks and roman blinds. As the largest distributor of Silent Gliss products in the South East, Waverley was well placed to help. The Silent Gliss 5600 track was selected as being adequate to operate the full height lined curtains. The curved bay window measured approximately 5m across, and Waverley’s surveyor created a full-size card template to ensure a perfect fit. The template was sent off to the Silent Gliss factory to enable them to bend the curtain track to the exact size and shape.
Silent Gliss 2350 electric roman blinds were supplied and installed by Waverley. Kasa Interiors made up and fitted the roman blind covers and the curtains. Waverley also liaised with the electricians to ensure wiring was provided to the correct position at the head of each window so that all connections are concealed behind the window blinds and curtains.

The end result is window furnishing solution that gives the finishing touch to a beautifully designed and fitted out property. The operation of the blinds and curtains is effortless via the home automation control panel in each room. The client is delighted with the end result and Kasa Interiors are pleased to have found a reliable and professional window furnishings partner who is fully conversant with automated curtain tracks and blinds.
